Parent & Caregiver Consultation
Children do not exist in isolation. Their emotions, behaviors, relationships, and daily experiences are shaped by the environments and systems around them. Parent consultation provides caregivers with practical strategies, education, and support to better understand their child and respond effectively to their unique needs.
We take a child-centered, whole-person approach that recognizes each child within the context of their family, school, community, culture, strengths, challenges, and developmental needs. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we work to understand your child's individual experiences while considering the unique dynamics and goals of your family.
We believe that behavior is communication. Rather than focusing solely on stopping challenging behaviors, we seek to understand the underlying needs, stressors, skills deficits, and experiences contributing to those behaviors. Through consultation, parents gain greater insight into their child's experiences and learn strategies to support growth and resilience.
Approach
What to Expect
Parent consultation is incorporated into individual therapy services as clinically appropriate. Collaboration with caregivers is an essential component of helping children build regulation skills and achieve meaningful progress.
For families who are not seeking therapy services, parent consultation is available as an independent service.
The process begins with a comprehensive intake session designed to develop a thorough understanding of your child, family dynamics, strengths, concerns, and goals. Following the intake, families participate in ongoing 50-minute consultation sessions, typically scheduled weekly, to address challenges, develop strategies, and monitor progress.

Parent & Caregiver Workshops
Our Parent Workshops are designed as welcoming, supportive spaces where parents can come together to learn, reflect, and grow alongside one another. Each workshop is rooted in a strengths-based approach, honoring the knowledge and experience you already bring while offering practical tools and strategies you can immediately use at home. The goal is for you to leave feeling more confident, informed, and equipped to support your child’s unique needs.
These workshops are not about “perfect parenting,” but about learning, adapting, and growing with support. You will leave each session with concrete strategies, increased understanding, and a stronger sense of connection to a community of parents navigating similar experiences.
What to Expect
Workshops are typically offered virtually in a group format, creating an accessible and collaborative environment where parents can connect, ask questions, and learn from both the facilitator and each other.
